Korean firm invests in P2-B Cebu hotel
Korean firm Phil BxT Corp. has poured nearly P2 billion in Cebu’s largest hotel, the Department of Tourism said.
Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort and Spa, a 556-room hotel on Maribago, Mactan Island, is described by the tourism department as “one of the country’s biggest tourism investments to date.”
The project was backed by Korean Mutual Savings Bank and Taihan Electric Wire Co.
The Philippine Economic Zone Authority will officially bestow the tourism economic zone status to the project during the January 30 inauguration of the facility.
“The Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort and Spa features luxuriously designed deluxe rooms, suites, pool villas and grand amenities. The resort is located on an 8-hectare property in Maribago, Mactan Island, Cebu,” DOT said.
